Boot Camp

A fun, military style workout consisting of cardio and callisthenic strength training drills designed to push you to new levels.  “Enter thinking you can, leave knowing you did!”

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:00am - 7:00am

Street Wise Self-Defense

This class is designed to make you more aware of your surroundings, and to help you to develop strategies to avoid danger.  It will also teach you how to carry yourself to avoid becoming a victim, and you will learn how to defend yourself with simple and effective techniques if there is no other option.  Defenses against grabs, chokes, attacks from the front, attacks from the back, and attacks on the ground will be covered.  No previous experience is necessary.  Wear something comfortable that you can move easily in.  Come prepared to work!

Ballroom Dance

Do you love the grace of the beautiful waltz, the rhythm of a Latin Cha Cha, or perhaps the energy of a swing?  If so, this class is for you!  In this beginning ballroom dance class, couples will learn how to swing, waltz, foxtrot, and Cha Cha.  You will learn moves that can be danced to traditional as well as contemporary music.  Each 7 week session will focus on a few of these popular dance styles.  Register as a couple.

First Aid and CPR Classes
The Rocky Run YMCA is proud to offer First Aid and CPR classes to the public.  Our certifications are through The American Safety and Health Institute and are good for 2 years for CPR and 3 years for First Aid.  Please call the welcome center for further details and class dates, times and prices. 

Book Club
Our Adult Book Club meets at 7pm on the first Tuesday of the month.  It’s free to all members.  Join us for one meeting or all, as your schedule and interests permit.  For more information please contact Debbie Earle, volunteer book club coordinator, at (610) 565-8052.
