Abington YMCA Adult Programs

The Abington YMCA is for everyone!   Adults in particular have a wide range of opportunities to persue better physical fitness and well being in spirit, mind and body.  These opportunities extend from the Aerobics Room to the Spinning Studio to the Swimming Pool and beyond!  Whether you prefer a mat stretch, a run on the treadmill or a swim in the pool, the Abington YMCA has something for every 18 to 80+ member.

Wellness for Adults

Depending on your particular preferences, the Abington YMCA has available a wide range of equipment in the Fitness Center for your personalized, individual workout, but also available is group exercise and programs for general health and wellness such as nutrition counseling, blood pressure screening and massage.

Adult Aquatics 

 

The Abington YMCA provides a year-round aquatics program, both instructional and recreational for all ages, abilities, levels and interests. Our aquatics program lays a foundation of water skills and safety guidelines so participants can enjoy a lifetime of safe, healthy, aquatic activities.

YMCAs have been teaching people to swim for more than a century. In YMCA aquatics programs, adults can enjoy taking their fitness levels to new heights while enjoy the non-impact qualities a water exercise program can offer.b-learnmore.gif

Active Older Adults

The Abington Y is pleased to offer a variety of programs to reflect the interest of those age 55 and older.  Social interaction is just as important as good health to the Active Older Adult population, and that balance of programs is available to all.
